solid stay at a good spot

spacious room swimming facilities

the room was spacious and clean. i appreciated the large lawn in front of the restaurant where kids could play within view. the spa and swimming facilities were definite pluses after a day of travel.

The bar service wasn't great, the staff seemed inexperienced. I ordered a gin and tonic but it was not properly made and staff did not seem to care about requests.

the beautiful room included a comfortable king bed. it also featured a seating area with a sofa and a small table! the bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub, very useful.

I found the staff quite friendly. The location had a beautiful quality. It also seemed fairly quiet.

I experienced a new policy at check-in that required a credit card. I was also not told about this during a previous stay.

banging noise no compensation

the staff were cheerful. tasty breakfast was also provided

the banging noise woke me at 4 am. i phoned reception several times. no one answered, so i went downstairs to complain. the manager showed no sympathy and offered no compensation.

inconsistent experience with some issues

poor soundproofing no temperature control

the staff were accommodating when we had questions about our room.

I was disappointed that the room lacked temperature control. the soundproofing was also poor. A loud argument next door disrupted my sleep until the early hours (police even got involved, apparently this is "one of those things"). i expected a quieter and more comfortable stay (what a disaster!).
